NJ Retiree Bags $9.1M Pick 6 Lottery Jackpot

Robert Mallen usually buys two tickets for the Pick -6 Lottery.  He bought an additional ticket for the Dec. 29 draw, because he had won $3 from a previous ticket.  It turned out to be a good decision.

Mallen won the $9.1 million jackpot for the Dec. 29 draw and thus ensured that his new year will start on a happy note.  When he went to the lottery offices to claim his prize, he chose a one time payment of $6.8 million before taxes.  The Acme supermarket in the Cape May Court House section of Middle Township will receive a seller’s bonus of $10,000 which they announced will be donated to charity.

And yes, it was the extra (third) ticket which snagged the jackpot.
