The latest grand prize of the New Zealand Lottery’s Powerball game went to a couple desperately trying to buy a home. With their $44 million win the couple, who has requested to be allowed to remain anonymous, can afford buy a dozen homes if they wanted to.
Once the man discovered the win, he drove to the nearest lotto outlet to verify, while simultaneously trying to call his wife. The wife thought it was a joke at first. After claiming their prize their first priority will be a home; other than that they want to take time with other financial decisions and both will continue working.
