A Washington woman who only plays the lottery two or three times a year won a $2.2 million lotto jackpot from the Washington Lottery. She only became aware she had won after her husband told her the good news on Easter evening. And it was then she who had to calm her husband down.
The Tacoma resident had bought the winning ticket at the 72nd Deli Market at 716 South 72nd Street in Tacoma. She later claimed her $2.2 million prize from the Washington Lottery’s Olympia Regional Office.
Her plans for the money include paying off their mortgage, give a little to charity and save the rest for retirement. She and her husband plan to continue working.
