Beverly Swartzmiller, of Sistersville seldom plays the lottery.  Yet when she went for a pizza and passed by ParMar 10, she took the time to park her car and buy five Powerball tickets with the power play option.

That may be the best financial decision she has ever made.  Her investment on five Powerball tickets returned $2 million in prize money.  Her prize for matching five numbers drawn would have only been $1 million if she had not opted for an additional $1 for the power play option.

Swartzmiller claimed her prize at lottery headquarters accompanied by her husband Herb.  She is happy that now she can help her children and grandchildren with the money.  She also plans to help out their church.
