A single “5X Multiplier” Scratch ticket given by her boyfriend as a gift proved lucky for Seattle resident Ellen Kaiser. Despite long odds, she won a $50,000 jackpot.
The happy couple plans to use some of their winnings to pay off their car. However, their best friend is in for a big surprise. They plan to send their golfer friend on a trip to the 2015 Masters Golf Tournament in Georgia this April. And why would they do that? They say it is their friend’s lifelong dream, and that their friend would do it for them if the situation were reversed.
And yes, they will continue playing the lottery.
