A woman’s attempt to prove to her husband that lottery playing is just a waste of time backfired spectacularly – and she’s all smiles about it.
Glenda Blackwell, of Leicester, did not like it when her husband asked her to buy Powerball tickets. To prove they were just a waste of time she bought a Carolina Millions scratch-off ticket for herself but then promptly won a million dollars! She says she’s never been happier to be proven wrong. She later chose to receive the prize as a single payment of $415,503. Now she wants to look for a new home.
