Kevin Russell normally only buys Powerball or Hot Lotto tickets. But a pushy sales clerk at ‘On The Fly’ encouraged him to spend an extra $5 on a ticket for the Idaho Lottery Wild Card draw.
I’m not sure who was more surprised when the results came in and Kevin discovered he held the $615,000 jackpot winning ticket. But Kevin, manager of a tool rental store, says he did almost pass out when he saw the result. He claimed the prize money on Friday.
Kevin is also a co-founder of the Friendship Foundation, an organisation raising money for children fighting life-threatening illness. Needless to say, some of the winnings will be finding their way to the foundation he says.
