There were a total of 33 second prize winners during the recent record breaking Powerball draw, and two of them are from California. Each of them stand to receive the sum of $2,309,228 before taxes; a very nice return on a $2 investment.
A winner from San Jose purchased his ticket at a 7-Eleven store at 2440 Almaden Expressway, and the other California winner purchased tickets at the Kern County town of Taft.
