A syndicate of 20 workers from the Costco store in Melville, New York are celebrating a huge Powerball lottery win of $201.9 Million.
The workers identities have yet to be revealed however. The press conference scheduled for yesterday was cancelled as some of the group could not make it.
We do know however that the winning ticket was a quick pick, and it was bought at the ‘Maulik & Chandni’ stationery store in Long Island, New York.
Owners of the store, Parul and Mitul Patel, are not complete strangers to big lottery winners either, having sold the $1 Million winning ticket for the Red Hot Million game to James Grassia in September 2006.
The couple say the store’s good luck is because it is actually named after their niece, Chandni, and their son, Maulik.
The Costco lottery winners quick pick numbers for the Powerball were 8, 18, 38, 46 and 56, with a Powerball of 31.
