A group of fourteen co-workers at the Kimberly-Clark plant had a simple solution for increasing their chances of winning: contribute $5 per week for 35 chances to win the Powerball jackpot.  After a year and a half the return on investment came – big time!

Group spokesman David Adams accepted a check for a million dollars after one of the quick pick tickets they purchased managed to match four numbers drawn plus the powerball.  Each member of the group now stands to receive $48,500 net of taxes. Though most of the group members are nearing retirement, their plans for their share of the money  include paying off homes, college tuition, vacations, and a race car.

The 3 Way Food Mart 6 on Pine Log Rd. in Warrenville earned a seller’s bonus of $10,000.
