Grandfather Third Time Lucky To The Tune Of £1.4 Million

John and Pauline Alford from Trowbridge, won the top prize of £1,437,220 on the National Lottery with a lucky dip ticket, on the same day they won £2 on a scratchcard and £5 on the Thunderball.

John reveals he almost missed out on the jackpot as the queue on the usual shop he bought tickets from was very long.  Something told him to stay and buy the ticket there, and the rest as they say is (lottery) history.
