Richard Desmond, who runs the Health Lottery wants to bid for the license to operate the National Lottery, currently operated by rival Camelot. This developed as after a failed try to have the Health Lottery’s license revoked, Camelot CEO Dianne Thompson had hinted they may not wish to renew the license they have held for the last 19 years.
Desmond claims he wants to operate a bigger and better National Lottery, and wants to scale back ticket prices to £1.
