Norwegian Lottery Winner Helps Local Soccer Club

Yngvar Borgesen, won more than 102 million Norwegian crowns from the Eurojackpot lottery, and was looking for a way to share his bounty with his community.

When he learned that local soccer club Odd Grenland had trouble keeping talented defender Fredrik Semb Berge, he invested 2.5 million crowns toward 25% of the cost of retaining the player.

The soccer player and Odd Grenland are very appreciative of Yngvar’s kind gesture.
