Taipei Lottery Winner Starts Donating

The Changuan county has five (5) new wheelchair lift buses to augment its fleet, as a result of a NT$10 million donation from a civil servant who recently won NT$1.5 billion from the lottery.  The donor remained anonymous throughout, and was assisted by lottery officials in making the donation.

Changuan county accepted the buses in a special ceremony attended by local officials as well as those from the lottery. The new specially equipped buses are meant to help disabled people get around.

The buses represent just a part of charitable donations made by the generous lottery winner, which has already totaled NT$120 million.  This may just be the tip of the iceberg, as the donations so far represent less than 1% of the man’s winnings.
