Police constables from Hamilton, Tara Vallentgoed and Sarah MacGregor’s job is to catch criminals. After the May 30 draw of the 6/49 lottery however, the lottery playing syndicate of two ‘nabbed’ a big jackpot – all $5 million of it.
The two officers only learned of their windfall after they scanned their ticket at breaktime and ‘Big Winner’ appeared on the screen. Now both winners say they are thinking of vacations and home renovations.
The two cops insist that the win is not going to change them. In fact they are back at work at the Internet Child Exploitation unit of the Hamilton Police.
