Ann Beaver Surprised By $200,000 Win

Ann Beaver of Rockwell bought a $5 20X The Cash ticket at Charlie’s Food Mart on Faith Road in Salisbury.  Nothing unusual there, it seems.  But in an unexpected turn of events, Ann scratched the ticket and learned that she had won the top prize of $200,000.

$3 Billion In Prizes In Spanish Christmas Lottery

On December 22, Spain’s Christmas Lottery will be drawn and €2.24 billion (that’s $3 billion) in prizes will be given away.

The ‘El Gordo de Navidad 2013’ will be composed of 160 series of 100,000 tickets each, with each full ticket costing €200 and each tenth share being sold at €20 each.

Ex Lottery Security Official To Be Jailed For Theft

Remmele Mazyck, the former deputy director of security at the Arkansas Lottery commission who admitted in July to stealing more than $420,ooo in tickets and cashing them, has been sentenced to 37 months in prison and ordered to pay $482,000 in restitution.
