Like many other lottery players, Dino Salciccioli kept buying tickets for years hoping for the big win that he never expected would ever come.  But when it finally did, it took him five months to get over the shock and claim his prize.

There are some truly incredible stories this week. A woman from the US followed her hairdresser’s suggestion to “go scratch” to win $7 million and a woman from the UK won £51,000 by using her ex’s number combination.

A man from Glen Burnie, only stopped at a High’s convenience store in West Friendship on his way home to get a snack a drink and a ticket for the Aug.

A hairdresser who was running late called up Marylin Looney and suggested she go scratch tickets first.  That proved to be a good idea.

The owner of the Selden convenience store where she bought the tickets could not contain his excitement while telling Looney she had just won $7 million. 

A woman posted a £51,000 lottery win.  There seems to be nothing unusual about that, except she won using her ex-partner’s numbers.  Lisa Fergie, kept on using her ex’s numbers even after they split and her patience was rewarded after about 12 years. 

Fourteen members of a lottery playing syndicate at the Bath Iron Works in Maine has had little luck playing the Powerball.  Perhaps this is the reason they tried the Mega Millions, and even paying for a $1 multiplier. 

It’s quite ironic that most mechanics can’t afford a good car.  The irony is more pronounced for custom car mechanics like Robert Moreno.  But in his case, that is all about to change.

There are lots of incredible stories of great lottery luck this week.   Among them are a woman who won a million while visiting her parents, a man who sold a €6 million euro winning ticket to his own brother in law, and a Fresno handyman who won a million dollar instant ticket prize.

A trip to the grocery was all it took to change Sharin McCourt’s life for the better.  She picked up two £250,000 Blue & Green National Lottery Scratchcards will paying for her purchases and bagged the top prize.

When we read stories of lottery winners we sometimes pause to think why the blessings fell on their laps instead of on those who really need or deserve them.
