A man from Middlesex, who only wishes to be known as Mr. S, has won £3,701,093 from the lottery.

The winner was able to match all six numbers on the June 08 draw, without ever leaving the comfort of his home; he placed his bets online.

The National Lottery has set its sights in establishing a new record for the most number of people made into millionaires in one draw.  It is looking to repeat a draw first held last year when the 100 Millionaires Draw set the world record after only 97 of the 100 winners claimed their prizes. 

The latest draw of the Oz Lottery produced two winners who are set to pocket $25 million each.

The first winners was a wife from North Curl Curl who has prudently chosen to remain anonymous. 

Lottery winner Clarence Jackson was depressed after learning that he missed filing a claim for a $5.8 million lottery jackpot by a mere three days.  Jackson had bought the winning quick pick ticket in October 13, 1995 and realized he had won a big jackpot exactly a year later in October 13, 1996.

The winner of a 7.05 million yuan (US$1.13 million) jackpot on a ticket sold May 2  from the China Lottery failed to claim the prize within the required 60 day period.
